When you think Michael Bolton, it’s only natural to recall one or many of his major hits from the 80s and 90s. Songs like When a Man Loves a Woman or How Am I Supposed to Live Without You are forever archived in our musical catalogues, to be retrieved on a moment’s notice with a lyric or a bit of melody.
On his latest album, the multiple Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter has gone back, not to his own early hits, but to those of his youth – songs he grew up listening to.  I’m talking about Hitsville, USA where the 60s Motown era was born and raised.

Although Motown may seem like a whole new direction for Bolton, it’s actually an natural transition for an artist whose style has always showcased an amazingly powerful tenor voice. In fact, Bolton’s early success came via support from a number of R&B stations.  You’ll probably remember that one of his first big hits was the ’88 cover of Odis Redding’s (Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.
Bolton will be backed by his own band and the Jeans ‘n Classics Rock Symphony, bringing yet another delicious dimension of depth and sound to Bolton’s hits in what will be a tremendously satisfying concert experience.
