Weekend Arts Around Town (February 6-8)

Don’t know what to do this weekend? We’ve got a few ideas:
February 6-7
FRIENDSHIP: A JOURNEY TO CHINA
Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts
Join Edwin, the KWS and Chinese pipa virtuoso Lan Weiwei (pictured above) along with a variety of special guests in a musical voyage to China. You’ll hear traditional Chinese music, as well as new works combining Chinese and Western sounds. A true bridging of cultures, this concert promises to be an extraordinary evening of musical intersections.
February 7-8
VALENTINE’S CRAFT FOR CHILDREN
Waterloo Region Museum
Appropriate for children 4-10 years of age. The craft session takes place throughout the day and parents must accompany their children. The fee for the event is included with regular admission to the museum.

KW HIGHLAND DANCE GRAND RE-OPENING
KW Highland Dance Company
The KW Highland Dance Company will be opening the doors to their new space on Sunday afternoon. Drop by to see the new studio, watch some amazing dancers and listen to some relaxing tunes. Light refreshments and snacks will be served. No need to RSVP to this shindig!
