Pi (π) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Pi is a constant number, meaning that for all circles of any size, Pi will be the same.
Math is fun but pies are even more fun!
We had a chance to interview several comics from Kitchener-Waterloo Comedy Festival during the Opening Gala night.
We asked them: What is your favourite type of pie? These were their responses:
Shaun Majumder: Blueberry, partridge berry – it’s a hybrid pie. Partridge berry is a Newfoundland berry and my Nan used to make it for me and it was magic.
Mary Mack: Gluten-free, because I have wheat induced potty problems. Basically anything gluten free that has a filling. I like all the pies all the time. If I had all the money in the world I would have all the pies, because you can get meat pies too. But you would have to hire somebody who is good at making gluten free crust. I have been watching that Great British Bake Off show and it has given me a false sense of confidence.
Tim Harmston: Grasshopper pie, it’s a cream mint and then you put shaved chocolate on it. It’s on a gram cracker crust. My German grandmother used to make it for me. And then you can put booze in it if you want to make it even more fun.
What is your favourite type of pie?
