March Break has been the subject of countless coming-of-age books and movies that has made this week of respite from school legendary. But what if you can’t fly south, or otherwise leave the region? Worry not – we’ve got the low-down on all the fun things you can do in town, whether you’re big or small.
If you’ve got little ones, there are many great camps or events that will spark your kid’s imagination. TV favourite Mike The Knight will be performing at The Centre on March 14 with his high-stakes scavenger hunt that will delight your whole family.
If you have a budding artist, art camps at the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery (pictured above), Joseph Schneider Haus, Art Innovators or even a little digging at Sheridan Nurseries will keep them entertained.
For the cine-philes, Landmark Cinemas will have Toonie Matinees throughout March Break where you can watch some great movies for just $2. If you’re still craving for the glitz and glamour of the Oscars, you can catch some of this year’s nominees at Princess Cinemas. Or you can simply make your own movies and enter the City of Kitchener & Kitchener Library Youth Video Competition and maybe even win a lovely cash prize!
With so many fun things to do in town, time will fly!
