Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, Classic Albums Live has become the ultimate destination for music lovers wanting to hear the greatest albums performed live without the gimmickry and cheesy impersonations.
When asked why he created Classic Albums Live, Craig says he saw the need in the market for musical purity. “Nobody was doing it note for note, so I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with the right idea,” he says. “This is music that we grew up with and is sacred to us. I want it to sound perfect, and that’s where my interest is.”
Performing The Eagles’ Hotel California at The Centre this Friday, Craig says that recreating this album meant focusing all of their energies on the vocal harmonies. “This is the greatest American album ever made,” he says. “There are a lot of complex harmonies that we spend a lot of time getting perfect. It’s a really smart guitar record, with some incredible forward-thinking guitar playing on it.”
