Hamlet is Shakespeare’s tale of suicide, incest, murder, guilt, grief, mortality and unrequited love. Women have played the title role before, but never have they played Hamlet as a young woman. Experience a familiar story in a brand new light. The show examines gender issues in both a historical and modern context, as the plot remains unchanged, but the time period of the play is modernized. It’s Hamlet, reversed.

The seventeenth-century harpsichord maker Jean Denis called the harpsichord “the most perfect instrument of all instruments”.  How does one improve upon perfection?  By bringing two harpsichords together, of course!  Guest harpsichordist Cynthia Hiebert joins Borys Medicky in a concert of solos, duos and concerti for two harpsichords by J.S. Bach, François Couperin, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Antonio Soler, and Luigi Boccherini.
