NORTH AMERICA’S FINEST O SCALE MODEL RAILWAY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (Pictured above)
St. Jacobs & Aberfoyle Model Railway
Come visit North America’s finest O Scale model railway, newly rebuilt in St. Jacobs after having a long stay in the village of Aberfoyle. Over 3000 square feet and Modeled in 1/48 scale, this railway depicts life in Southern Ontario as it was in the late 1950s.
See trains of both Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Railways, pulled by locomotives of the late steam and early diesel period, rolling through farm land, country villages and small towns. In terminal areas, trains are marshaled, and industries are switched.
Sunday, June 14 @ 11.30AM & 2.30PM
MAVERICK THE DINOSAUR, LIVE!
THE MUSEUM
Did you know that the term Tyrannosaurus comes from the Ancient Greek language meaning ‘tyrant lizard’ while the word Rex means ‘king’ in Latin? Spend your afternoon at THEMUSEUM to meet Maverick, the juvenile T-Rex dinosaur! Lead by THEMUSEUM’s resident “Paleontologist,” this show will teach you all about Maverick; what he eats, how his body works (such as his sharp teeth and claws, as well as his tiny arms), how he moves and more! You will also learn how a T-Rex is similar, or different, compared to other dinosaurs. Then, at the end, you’ll get a chance to get up close to Maverick, and maybe get a photo!
