Weekend Arts Around Town (July 24-26)

Don’t know what to do this weekend? We’ve got a few ideas:
July 24 9PM – 10PM
NYO CHAMBER FESTIVAL
Maureen Forrester Recital Hall, 75 University Avenue West, Waterloo
For more than fifty years, NYO Canada has enjoyed an iconic reputation as Canada’s orchestral finishing school, providing the most comprehensive and in-depth training program available to our country’s best young classical musicians. More performers in Canada’s professional orchestras are alumni of NYO Canada than any other institute or university.
Wilfrid Laurier University will be presenting the 2015 Chamber Festival including performances from talented students and world renowned faculty ft. Gryphon Trio with James Campbell, the Formosa Quartet, the Canadian National Brass Project, Lumiere Quartet, to name a few.
While a chance to see them play together is once a life time opportunity, it is also entry by donation, making it accessible to all those who love music.
July 25 @ 3PM – 9PM
WATERLOO REGION FOOD TRUCK FARE
30 Regina Street South
Waterloo Region Food Truck Fare is a celebration of food trucks, local food vendors, craft beer and good times in support of the Independent Living Centre of Waterloo Region (ILCWR). ILCWR provides services and programs to people with disabilities in Waterloo Region.

July 26 12PM – 11PM
SERBIAN FOOD FESTIVAL
700 Fisher Hallman Road
The Serbian Food Festival is an annual event that attracts thousands of people from different cultural backgrounds each year. The purpose of the festival is to invite the region’s beautiful and diverse community and share a little taste of Serbia. With a focus on delicious foods, music, dancing and fun stuff for the kids, this event has been a huge success.
The Serbian Food Festival is one of KW’s largest outdoor dining experiences and a great way to experience a beautiful and different culture. Make sure to include a visit to the festival as part of your plans for the weekend.
