Friday, November 6 @ 7.30PM – 10PM
Wild Writers Festival
CIGI Campus Auditorium, Waterloo
Head over to the CIGI Campus Auditorium in Waterloo for the Gala opening of fourth annual literary festival. This event features CBC’s Craig Norris in conversation with award-winning authors Nino Ricci and Don Gillmor. In addition, winners of The New Quarterly’s fiction, non-fiction and poetry contests will give readings. Lots of K-W’s literary community will be in attendance.

Waterloo Buddhist Film Festival
Emmanuel United Church, Waterloo
The Waterloo Riverview Dharma Centre presents its 12th annual Buddhist Film Festival this Saturday!
The film festival features 3 films: Wisdom to Survive, Room to Breathe and Journey From Zanskar.
The event also features a vegetarian buffet dinner catered by Vijay’s Indian Cuisine.
Tickets are $50 for adults ($55 at the door) and $35 for students ($40 at the door).

Waterloo Comic Book Show
Hespeler Memorial Arena, Cambridge
From the creators of the GTA’s hottest Comic Book event, The Toronto Comic Book Show, comes a brand new show to the Waterloo Ontario region. The Waterloo Comic Book Show (WCBS) is Ontario’s hottest pop-up comic book event and the go-to tradeshow for hard-core comic book collectors and pleasure readers.
Free admission for kids and free parking.
Every boy and girl will get a free comic book.
