Each year, University of Waterloo and their Federation of Students gives thanks to the community for its partnership and mutual support by hosting Waterloo Region’s flagship Canada Day Celebration! Come out to enjoy this annual event that offers entertainment for all ages, including a range of family activities, delicious festival food and drinks, and live performances by exceptional Canadian talent.

Joseph Schneider Haus
The House that Joseph Built Turns 200! Spend the weekend celebrating not just Canada Day, but also the 200th anniversary of the building of Joseph Schneider’s house! Located in the heart of downtown Kitchener, festivities kick off July 1 with FREE admission for everyone. Activities continue all weekend with the opening of the Still Standing exhibit, featuring the construction of Joseph Schneider’s house, and a number of special guests along the way!

Sunday Family Fun Days!
Waterloo Region Museum
Not just this weekend but for each Sunday in the month of July and August, enjoy hands-on gallery activities, horse-drawn wagon rides through Doon Heritage Village, and more with the whole family! Another treat includes the Summer Music Series where musicians will provide live entertainment for visitors with music and song!
