Opening Reception – Matt Schust: Working Space
Open Sesame, Kitchener
Head over to Open Sesame this Friday to see the work of Matt Schust. His painting is concerned with the tradition of formalism and rooted in geometric abstraction, colour field painting, minimalism, and neo-geo. Enjoy the optical effects he strives to create through the use of space, colour, and line are complicated by characteristics that allude to things outside the domain of “pure” abstraction, such as diagrams and commercial design.

Neruda Arts Presents: Kultrún World Music Festival
Victoria Park, Kitchener
Experience the sound of local, national, and international world music bands guaranteed to be a fun outing for the whole family! Neruda Arts is a non-profit world music presenter dedicated to building bridges in the community through music, dance, drama, and literary and visual arts. Enjoy the day with activities for kids, food and craft market, and beer garden!

Exhibition Opening: Outside In
Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, Waterloo
Outside In features the work of artists Rory MacDonald (Halifax), Jasna Sokolovic & Noel O’Connell of Dear Human (Montreal), Orest Tataryn (Toronto) and Vanessa Yanow in collaboration with John Tinholt (Montreal). Enjoy the dynamic correlation between the works on view in the public space and works that will simultaneously be on view in the Gallery space.
