Weekend Arts Around Town (July 22 – 24)

Don’t know what to do this weekend? We’ve got a few ideas:
July 22 @ 9PM
Western Swing Authority
Rhapsody Barrel Bar – 179 King St. West
The Western Swing Authority is a unique collaboration of some of Canada’s top studio and touring musicians who’ve played with the likes of Dean Brody, Gordon Lightfoot, and more. Their common love of Western Swing and “new classic’ original songs pay homage to the roots of traditional music.
July 22 – 23 @ 7.30PM – 10.30PM
University of Waterloo A Capella Club’s End of Term Concert
University of Waterloo
What better way to wrap up the end of term for University of Waterloo students, then to have a concert devoted to A Capella talent! Featuring ACE, The AcaBellas, The Musical InterDudes, The Unaccompanied Minors, The Water Boys, and many more guest groups, this night is sure to please!
July 24 @ 7.30PM – 8.30PM
Concert In The Gardens – Tim Louis Quintet – Jazz
Dorothy Elliott Gazebo, Rockway Gardens
Enjoy a Sunday afternoon of jazz outdoors with talented singer, songwriter, and pianist, Tim Louis. Last appearing at Rockway in 2014, Louis is noted for his connection with audiences through his warm and inviting personality. Ringing true to his music that is new and fresh, this is a perfect way to end the weekend!
