Half Moon Run Finally Being Discovered In Canada
Half Moon Run’s two albums, Dark Eyes (2012) and Sun Leads Me On (2015), have reached Gold in Canada. After they released their first album, they completed a 345-concert European tour, visiting 15 countries in that time. The band has been played on radio stations all over the world, including the BBC, and they’re finally growing a following on their home turf, Canada.
Their sound has been described as having “a rich, sonic texture” (Ottawa Citizen) and “a rich, folky art-prog vibe, perhaps Malajube meets The Grapes of Wrath” (Music Canada). Sarah McLachlan just released her 2016 Christmas Album, and Half Moon Run contributed on five tracks, leading McLachlan to call them
“incredible musicians” (FYI Music News).
