Ziggy Stardust, Station to Station, Low, Heroes, Scary Monsters… 1999, Purple Rain, Parade, Sign, The Gold Experience… David Bowie blazed the trail, and whether by design or osmosis Prince soon followed, becoming a maverick himself.
