Experiencing musicians before the tipping point that skyrockets them to stardom is what our OnStage series is all about. These musicians have already spent years slogging it out on the road, have several albums behind them, are rising to the top, and—most importantly—have a voice you may not have heard before. It’s an exciting journey to witness, and our OnStage series lets you do just that.
In our OnStage series, our main stage is the both audience and stage at the same time: You sit either around small tables or on our risers, and the musicians face you (i.e., they’re performing upstage). These concerts create an intimate atmosphere like no other, with both you and the performers sharing the stage. In addition, you can enjoy dinner before the show by pre-ordering a delicious three-course meal in our CentreStage Lounge, hosted by our sponsor Borealis Grille & Bar. Seating is limited, so be sure to book your dinner when you book your tickets!
In 2007, Matt Andersen performed in our OnStage series and later became a JUNO nominee. A powerhouse performer with a giant, soul-filled voice and commanding presence, Andersen has shared the stage and toured with Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Greg Allman, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Randy Bachman, Little Feat, Jonny Lang, Serena Ryder, and more.
Whitehorse has a similar story: They performed in our OnStage series in 2014, which sold out. Now, after numerous award nominations, world tours, they’ve won a Juno Award.
And their success stories are one note in a score of similar stories that have performed in our OnStage series.
So, who’s up next? Take a look.
SYMLSaturday, Sept 15 @ 8PM
From his basement recording studio in the small town of Issaquah, WA, outside Seattle, Brian Fennell wrote and recorded a collection of songs under the name Syml, which means simple in Welsh. Adopted and not knowing his history or connection to his Welsh roots, many of these songs were influenced by the complex feelings that come from unknown lineage.
